I did have a link under my picture to a blurb about me–”Widowhood.” I wrote it in the middle of last year when the facts of my widowhood were the most important things I had to deal with.
Things are different now. I haven’t been actively grieving in a while, but now I’m not really actively identifying as a widow any longer either. It’s still what I need to put on forms, but it isn’t my sole identity.
Now I’m a daughter, a girlfriend, a future law student, a liberal, an atheist, a baseball fan, and a poet as well as a woman who lost her husband.
So here is the new hood, the “Juliehood.” You may not want to visit. ‘Tis a silly place.
goodness, julie . . . it has been ages since the old AAPC and ICQ days. i have fallen out of touch with everyone and now a touch of nostalgia has me attempting to locate some of the old group. fate has brought me, the carrie formerly known as a “szucs,” to you.
i see i have a great deal to catch up on here . . . in the meantime, best wishes with law school and your upcoming wedding. and know that i was always a huge fan of juliehood.
Hi, Carrie. It’s definitely been a long while.
Thanks for the good luck. I need it!
How are you doing?
