So, somewhere else along the road there was construction. And they had those enormous customizable signs. The first sign said:
SLOW DOWN
Fines doubled in work zone!
The second said:
HIT A WORKER
Fine $10,000 and 14 years in jail!
Now, doesn’t that look like an order?
I’ve always wanted to know who worded the “slow children” signs.
🙂
I saw “HIT A WORKER . . .” the other day while traveling 70 miles per hour. If I’d been the driver instead of the passenger, I never would have read the rest of the sign.
Those first three words looked like an invitation to join a strange new game. Mayhap they should enlarge the cost of joining.
HIT A WORKER
PAY $14,000
