Warning! Baseball ramble to follow

Johan Santana of the Twins has 10 losses on the year. Five of ’em from the Indians.

HA!

Cleveland now has a 6 game lead on Detroit. Cleveland and Detroit. Battle of the vacation hotspots.

Steve hates Seattle, so he’d prefer New York made it to the playoffs. Forgive him. He just doesn’t understand yet that it’s his duty to hate the Yankees. It’s been ten years, but he’s a slow learner.

Personally, I’d rather Seattle made it. Not just because I prefer Seattle, but because I’d rather Cleveland had to (potentially) face Seattle than NY, the bastards.

If Cleveland doesn’t make it, I guess I’m rooting for the Tiggers again. Fill in your own heavy sigh here.

  1. The Braves have cleverly figured out how to avoid the post-season for the second time in 2 years: Don’t get hits. So they (and I) will be spared the angst of October.

    So, Go Redsocks!

  2. Yeah, the Tigers are seriously strange.

If you look at lineups, the Tigers and (worse) the White Sox are just baffling.

What’s baffling about the Twins is them thinking they can win with that lineup. It’s appallingly bad.

  3. Yup–we’re rooting for Seattle too. 🙂 Seeing “Rocket Rodger” limp away to lick his wounds was satisfying. (Sigh, I know I should take the moral high ground, but I’m just not that highly evolved.)

Another card carrying member of RedSox nation.

    🙂
