Books! Countries! Maps! Maps of book countries!

White means I have no data yet.

Orange means I have at least one author in mind, and if you click through you’ll go to the book page on Amazon.

Green means I have the country done.

And red means I have the country done but I have at least one more author in mind that seems sweller.

Some lists for the Caribbean and related areas are posted on Shoshana’s blog, here:

Nice. Like a gigantic game of literary Risk.

  3. Adam says:

Do you have Borges on your list?

  4. Adam says:

Surely you’ve read Heart of Darkness. How about Witold Gombrowicz instead, as the rep for Poland?

  5. Julie says:

Thanks, Scavella! I definitely needed more Caribbean authors.

Harry, I think I’m revealing my inner, okay not-so-inner geek.

Adam, I haven’t really even looked at Central and South America yet. I’m starting with Africa. And yes, Conrad is on the map already.

  6. Adam says:

I think I may have miscommunicated. I saw Heart of Darkness on the list, is the list not shiny new books?

  7. Julie says:

I’m not specifically targeting new books, no. I’m just (slowly) populating the list with books I’ve read and books I want to read. If I run across an appealing author for a country I already have covered, I put them on the list as well, but my goal is just to cover all countries, no matter when I read the book.
