The earlier sweater was one I knitted for a dog. This one is one my sister crocheted for a cat. This is Bertram, modeling his new sweater. Yes, I know that he hardly looks like he needs a sweater, but despite his look of persecution, he seemed to like wearing it.
And yes, he is that fluffy. A bit on the pudgy side, too.

I’m amazed you got him to sit still for you long enough to put it on him. He does seem like he’s trying to figure out what he’s being persecuted for.

My mother once used some leftover yarn to knit a sweater for our stodgy gentleman cat. As soon as she got it on him he took off down the stairs, wriggled himself out of it, threw it in his box and covered it with litter.
